Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and Wizzist LLC ("Wizzist," "we," or "us"). They govern your access to Wizzist's website, accounts, AI tutoring, learning tools, subscriptions, and Team features (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Depending on your plan and role, Wizzist can provide:
- AI tutoring, explanations, learning conversations, and study planning
- Lessons, quizzes, courses, notes, tasks, games, and progress records
- Private Team assignments, messages, shared work, and challenges
- Tools for adults to create learning material and support learners
Features, model providers, limits, and plan contents can change as the Service develops.
3. Accounts and Age Rules
Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in access, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
A child under 13 may not create a standalone account through self-service signup. An independently reviewed school authorization for the school-limited purpose or applicable parent or guardian authority is required before covered child-data processing. An invited student must read and acknowledge the current classroom privacy notice. Optional joining requires the student's choice; school-directed use is identified as school-directed.
4. Acceptable Use and Academic Integrity
Use Wizzist lawfully and in line with applicable school or organization rules. Do not:
- Submit work as your own when that violates an academic policy
- Upload content you do not have permission to use or that violates another person's rights
- Harass others, distribute harmful or illegal material, or endanger a child
- Probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or product limits
- Use automated access or resell the Service unless Wizzist has authorized it in writing
- Impersonate another person or provide misleading account information
We may limit or suspend access to protect users, the Service, or others.
5. Content and AI Output
You keep your rights in content you provide. A teacher's payment or classroom invitation does not transfer ownership of your account or unrelated personal work. A school may control a separate education-record copy of submitted work, grades, and related classroom records under its agreement and applicable rules. You give Wizzist a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate and protect the Service. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide it.
Learning materials identified as openly licensed are governed by the license shown with them. Those licenses, including any permitted copying, sharing, and adaptation, govern that material; these Terms do not remove those permissions. Access to Wizzist's accounts, hosting, and other services is governed by these Terms.
AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Check important facts, cite sources when required, and use your own judgment. Wizzist does not guarantee grades, learning outcomes, or that output is unique or free of third-party claims.
6. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation
- Wizzist offers monthly paid plans shown on the Pricing page; Team invitations give learners seat-based access at no cost to them.
- Stripe processes paid subscriptions; Wizzist does not store full card details.
- Paid plans are charged when the subscription begins; Wizzist does not offer trials. A free first help session, where offered, is not a paid plan and does not start a subscription.
- You can cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal in account settings.
- Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- Charges are not automatically prorated or refunded, except when required by law or stated in a written offer.
We may change future prices or plan contents with reasonable notice.
Credits
- AI-powered help, such as tutoring, lessons, and quizzes, uses credits. Each paid month of an account includes the credits shown on the Pricing page when you subscribe. Included credits expire at the end of that paid month and do not carry over.
- You can buy additional credits. They become available once payment is confirmed and expire 30 days after purchase. The expiry date is shown before you pay and in your billing settings.
- Credits that expire soonest are used first. Expired credits are not restored, including when an account is reactivated.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged. In Family and Teacher accounts, credits are shared within the account; only the adults who manage the account can buy them, and learners cannot.
- Wizzist does not top up credits automatically or charge for usage beyond your balance. When credits run out or expire, your plans, saved work, and history remain.
7. Third-Party Services
Wizzist relies on third-party services, including AI model providers, payment processing, email delivery, hosting, and storage. Their availability and terms can affect parts of the Service. Our Privacy Policy describes how information can be shared with processors.
8. Disclaimers and Liability
To the extent allowed by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free AI output, or a particular educational result. To the extent allowed by law, Wizzist is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
9. Changes and Termination
We may update these Terms as the Service changes and will post the updated date here. We may suspend or end access for material violations, security risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect after termination.
Ending one classroom seat does not itself delete a student's account, files, or other valid memberships. After the last school sponsorship ends, an authorized student or steward can export permitted data, continue eligible personal use, or request closure during the stated departure window. Closing an account disables sign-in and starts the reviewed deletion process; justified school records, holds, provider work, and backup expiry remain separately recorded until addressed.
