Stories of Ah-Ha Moments
Meet the users, educators, and builders who had breakthrough moments with AI in education—and decided to use it for good.
- Moments of clarity
- Using AI for good
- Building better education
"I’m a senior, but I tutor freshmen with Wizzist. The AI walks me through explanations first, so I can teach concepts instead of handing out answers."
Jackie, 12th grade
Peer Math Tutor
"When my curiosity goes beyond class, Wizzist becomes my research buddy. It helps me explore new ideas safely—way better than dropping everything into a random chatbot."
Dylan, 10th grade
Self-directed Learning
"I check my kids’ binders to see what they’re practicing. Smart Wizz highlights where they’re stuck, so I can nudge without hovering."
Monica
Parent of two high schoolers
Joe - A Product Developer Working on Wizzist
Back in 2016, I witnessed something that changed my perspective forever. At Microsoft, I watched an early AI system take a McDonald's drive-through order with perfect accuracy. Sure, it seems quaint compared to today's technology, but in that moment, I glimpsed the future.
Nearly a decade later, AI has evolved beyond my wildest expectations. Yet there's a problem: we're squandering its potential, especially in education. Students struggle with generic AI tools, typing aimless prompts into the void, getting mediocre results that barely scratch the surface of what's possible.
I saw students—including my own kids—using ChatGPT for homework but getting lost in the endless back-and-forth. They needed structure, guidance, and AI that actually understood their learning journey.
"That's when it clicked: AI in education isn't about replacing teachers or doing homework for students—it's about creating a personal advisory team that makes every learning moment count."
This gap between AI's promise and its classroom reality drove me to work on Wizzist—a platform where AI doesn't just answer questions, it learns about each student, adapts to how they learn, and connects them with the right tools at the right time.
AI is here. Let's use it to elevate learning, not replace thinking.
